encores...
It's available for pre-order, launching May 23. But still no word on songs, aside from the rumored list The list of songs is here, but with no specific song order.
According to one of the threads over at DJ Slim's forum, the tentative track list and order is:
1. Kevin Covais - "When I Fall In Love" 2. Melissa McGhee - "What About Love" 3. Lisa Tucker - "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours) 4. Mandisa - "I'm Every Woman" 5. Bucky Covington - "Superstition" 6. Paris Bennett - "Midnight Train To Georgia" 7. Ace Young - "Father Figure" 8. Katherine McPhee - "Think" 9. Kellie Pickler - "Walkin' After Midnight" 10. Chris Daughtry - "Wanted Dead Or Alive" 11. Taylor Hicks - "Takin’ It To The Streets" 12. Elliott Yamin - "Moody’s Mood For Love"
Just an observation...Jennifer you need to remove the "Foxes on Idol" link. That is arguably the most annoying site I have ever visited. There are so many pop-ups, animations, shaking ads, and other crap, that I couldn't leave fast enough. Your blog is too good to be associated with such dribble.
D.J. Slim and Dave the High Lord on the other hand are great complimentary blogs to your site. All of you have become a part of my regular routine. Oh Lord, did I just admit to that?
I'm right there with you JR. I check this site as soon as I wake up, and right before I go to bed. I'm not an addict, am I...
About the Encore album, why is Kellie the only one who isn't smiling? Even Chris, the angry man who doesn't smile is. She just looks funny with her hair covering her face. And yes jennifer, this is the season for the pretty people, for sure.
Oops, Dave, I forgot to link the entry with the list, and of course that list has been out there for awhile now. But I don't think that's anywhere close to the track order, but hey, who knows? This season they've gone against tradition with most everything else, so they might put Kev first.
I was reviewing the song choices, thinking about how very much I would have loved Gedeon on here. He was so fabulous. I just wish that he would have been appreciated.
I also would have loved Mandisa's I don't hurt anymore!
Jennifer...had Gedeon been in the mix, I think your boy Elliot may have been it trouble by now. You're right about Gedeon not being appreciated, I still think he should have been in the final twelve over Kevin and maybe even Bucky.
If this is in fact the song list, I can't wait for the CD! Oh, who am I kidding? I'd have bought it anyway, even if some of them had sung "B-I-N-G-O". (Then again...maybe not...)
Like Sunny and many of the others on here, I check this blog first thing, and I've found that I prefer it--especially the recaps--over those on the "official" Idol website. Keep up the awesome job, Jennifer!
The songs listed in Dave's post were the one's that Bucky and Kellie both sang when they were on Regis and Kelly, so I'm going to say that's a safe assumption.
Oh, I don't doubt that's the track listing, but I'm anal about stuff until they've been formally announced. I'll be curious about the order, since the winner has had the first track every single season, even when the CD is released before the final votes are cast. Always has led to suspicion, rightfully, that they seem to know, in advance, the final placement of the top 5. I think that's why they're not peeping on that this year.
My name is Jennifer, and I'm a fan. I'm no expert. I just know what I like. And what I don't.
The Shoutbox has been temporarily removed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Oh goody!!! If this is the actual songlist, I'm definitely getting the CD! But I'll skip Lisa's offering. meh.

Sunny - I think that's Kellie looking like a minx. :D
Pretty people..you forgot about Kevin when you said that.
Maybe this is already been posted and I just didn't see it but...Does anyone know how many songs they are going to sing on Tues?
Mary Pat: Note the use of the word "some". ROFL :D
SJN: Two songs this week, three the next.
I was reviewing the song choices, thinking about how very much I would have loved Gedeon on here. He was so fabulous. I just wish that he would have been appreciated.
I also would have loved Mandisa's I don't hurt anymore!
Thanks for the fun, Jennifer!

T'wasn't me missing Gedeon, although I thought he was talented. I preferred Kevin for cuteness. And I miss Bucky.

I think Gedeon's teeth would have ruined the whole album cover. Kevin is better on there, and so is Bucky (notice how straight his teeth look too).
LMFAO @ Kellie pretending to be a minx. They definitely made that clear for her now.
Oh, come now, Sunny, Gedeon's "I'm in a cult" smile would have fit right in with that cover.
The songs listed in Dave's post were the one's that Bucky and Kellie both sang when they were on Regis and Kelly, so I'm going to say that's a safe assumption.
