For all of us Elliott Yamin fans who were a bit bummed not to have seen him perform on AGB, good news!He'll be back on the Idol stage tonight, performing. Evidentially the deal was finalized just last night to have one of the show's most beloved Idols return. And for those of us who were dreading an hour of Mariah Carey and phone calls actually have something to look forward to, aside from the inevitable boot of one of the women.
Don't worry Mariah fans; she is still slated to sing. After all, she has a CD to sell. But this is Idol, this is an Idol blog, and around these parts we prefer our alumni to all the folks that Randy Jackson has ever met in his entire lifetime.
Elliott again. Hmm. I do believe that makes more non-finale appearances from season 5's third-place finisher than we've had from the same season's final two. Combined.

As you know, I love me some Elliott! I hope he's doing okay since his mom passed away. I'm already starting to get misty just thinking about it!

this season reminds me of season 5 (the best season ever) because of the talent -- david c is like daughtry; kristy lee is another kelli pickler, only not as dumb; and jason is the elliott of the group.
And to expand on the comparison w/season 5, Archuleta is Taylor, the one with the rabid fan base.
it will be interesting to see if the results fall out the same way -

Elliot will be the saving grace for the show tonight. Otherwise I can either tune in 10 minutes before the end of the show to see the execution or just come to one of these blogs and find out all I need to know. No crappy commercials, no dopey filler, just the facts.
K-Cook woulb be the K-Mac in the earlier scenerio.
