here they are...

So the song choices have been leaked. These are not rumors, they're confirmed here. (It's an AOL link; I hope it works for everyone.)

Katharine will perform Hound Dog/All Shook Up and Can't Help Falling In Love.

Taylor's choices are In The Ghetto and Jailhouse Rock.

Chris has chosen Suspicious Minds and A Little Less Conversation.

And Elliott has picked Trouble and If I Can Dream.

Of course, season three watchers might remember JPL performing both Jailhouse Rock and Conversation, and season four watchers will remember Carrie kicking the mic stand to Trouble.

If memory serves, none of the three songs were performed even close to the level of excellence, so three of them can bring justice to Elvis/Idol performances.

And this looks to be a pretty predictable performance order as well, in the same order as AOL is reporting the song selections.

See you tomorrow! It's gonna be a blast.

Taylor will be in a jean jacket and striped T-shirt...count on it. "Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock!"
By the way, would Simon be appalled by Elvis' dance moves...kinda like Taylor?

"The sad sack was sittin' on a block of stone
way over in the corner weepin' all alone.
The warden said, "Hey, buddy, don't you be no square.
If you can't find a partner use a wooden chair."
Let's rock, everybody, let's rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock.

Roll on Taylor Hicks, roll on!!!

I don't want to hurt any feelings for Chris fans because I do still like him....BUT, I would like to see Elvis songs screw him up this week and send him home. I really want Kat, Elliott, and Taylor to be the final 3.

Personally, sunny, I think you may get your wish. I think Chris will struggle with Elvis.

I'd like to know how you dial for 2 straight hours and get through. I got through one time in 2 hours, hitting redial repeatedly, using both lines. I even tried an hour after the lines were down and got a busy signal. I'd love to vote for Elliot for the whole two hours if I could get through. Looking forward to tomorrow night.

i agree, everyone needs to vote for elliott, i think vocally he has the best voice. whats carried taylor is his personality...take away the live show...he's voice wouldn't make it.

Yay! I'm so glad someone is singing "Suspicious Minds", one of my favorite Elvis songs. I was hoping Chris would do that one.
Some of the other songs, like "If I Can Dream", I'm not as familiar with. But knowing Elliott, he'll do an awesome job. As for Kat, I'm curious to see what she'll bring to the "Hound Dog/All Shook Up" performance. And "Jailhouse Rock" seems to be perfect for Taylor. It's going to be a good night; I can feel it.

I'm totally psyched about tonight. Can't wait!!!! I was hoping Chris would have done Viva Las Vegas, but I think he'll do well with what he has chosen. As far as what anonymous has said about Taylor, Taylor is probably the most gifted of all the singers left on the show. He not only sings, and plays, but he writes. If you haven't heard his CD yet, you are missing out. Seven original songs, all great, and they are enjoyable to listen to without the "performance" factor involved. In Simon's book that he wrote a few years ago, he said singers coming up in today's world have to be able to write their own material to succeed, and Taylor can definitely do that. People sell Taylor short when they he's only gotten this far because of his personality. If his voice wasn't great, he would not have made it this far. We've all seen idols with great personalities and performance styles and mediocre talent and they rarely make it to the top 5. Taylor has a lot of talent behind him.

I hope the male anatomy with ears (how's that for code?) goes home. I am sick of his dull beady-eyed stare, they oought to play the theme from Jaws when he comes on stage. When he starts his screaming, I reach for the ear plugs. He has all the personality of a slug.

ROLL TAYLOR ROLL
