forget disneyworld...

They went to Graceland!

And as I try to get rid of my dang day job that chronically interferes with my Idol worship, check out some more
behind-the-scenes photos by an eyewitness to the action, Fox 13's own Joey, who has his own weather blog.

I'll be back soon.

Amen, Jennifer. :-)

Of course, if I didn't have a day job, I couldn't afford any Idol memorabilia, concert tickets, and such. So maybe my day job isn't TOO bad...as long as it doesn't keep me busy between 8-9 p.m. on Tuesdays and 9-9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

LOL I refuse to do anything on Tuesday/Wednesday evenings from January to May. Lucky though, when one works in academia, one gets summers off. And beginning this afternoon, I officially have the summer off.

YAY Me! I just have to wrap up a few loose ends and I'm freeeeeee!

Hey, Jennifer (et.al.), have you all given the order for this week much thought?

Last week on birthday/Billboard night, Elliot was first, Taylor was last. The week before on “love song” night, Katharine was first, Chris was last. Before that on standards night, Chris was first and Katharine was last. THEREFORE… it seems to be almost certain that this week Taylor will be first and Elliot will get the pimp spot.

That is, IF there’s any sense of fairness to the assignment, which there very well may not be.

Are there any trends for who gets kicked off this week? I noticed your trend for the 5 left, 2-spot curse proved once again accurate. If the producers notice, they may start putting people there on purpose just to get rid of them!

But do you really believe that if Taylor was in the 2-spot last week that he would have gone home?

therefor, the producers may put the obvious one to go second...and they would not have put Taylor there. If there is truth to the fact that they somewhat control who goes and stays, this would make sense.

No, I don't think Taylor would have gone home. By the same token, I don't believe they would have put him in the second spot with only five singers, even though I do think they do not want him in the F2.

I expect Taylor to lead off, followed by Kat and Chris will Elliott in the final spot, because it follows the trend they've followed all season.
