it's grand ole opry night!...
I will be watching and I will be sharing my thoughts on the performances, but not tonight. Sometime tomorrow.
So, if you want, use up the comment thread to hoop and holler as Simon inevitably tells at least half of the performers that he "just doesn't get" it.
Oh. And Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm both excited and apprehensive about tonight. Country night tends to chew up and spit out at least a few contestants. I hope tonight isn't the trainwreck I fear it could be.
i also get nervous about country night..maybe because i dont enjoy the music, simon doesnt enjoy the music, and my favorite is adam. i just cant imagine him doing country.
They should just give Simon the night off when the theme is country music.
Ok, we're through Kris, and I'm enjoying everyone.
After Adam and Scott, are you still enjoying everyone?
dave, did you like adam tonight?
I'm not an Adam fan, if that's what you're asking. I think he's a little too theatrical for my liking and I think he's too given to screaming and going over the top.
He's got a lot of natural talent, but I think he would be better served in a venue like Rock Star rather than Idol.
Scott was adequate. Adam, well...
I loved Danny and thought Allison and Matt were really good.
I thought the girls were all mediocre.
Anoop was the only one whose performance I actually enjoyed.
There is something that is just.......LACKING this season.
And I forgot to mention how much I can't stand Danny.
I enjoyed watching last night for a change. I guess I love watching a train wreck about to happen, and that would be country week. I don't know what all the hype is about with Megan, her voice sounds like a chipmunk on speed or Betty Boop, take your pick. I thought Adam did a good job of basically saying he hates country music, even with Mr. Travis in the audience. Hey, Simon never exactly faked liking country, so why should Adam? I do love Adam, but then again, I love musical theatre and also hate the song "Ring of Fire" which he at least made interesting. Danny was a bit lost at the beginning of his song with a look of panic on his face until he reached the money verse in the chorus. I agree that Anoop's song was great, but you have to have that "it" factor and he just doesn't have it, he has the deer stuck in the headlights look to him. I was VERY impressed with Kris Allen and have to admit that I never took any notice of him before tonight. He may surprise us all. Scott was okay, but if you just stop thinking about him being blind and all while he is singing, he really is only so-so singer, sounding the same in every song he sings. I thought Michael would do well with it being country week and all, but nope, he will be heading home. Matt was okay, but I didn't think he was as great as the judges thought. Lil Rounds sounds the same in every song she sings to me at least, but she will get through this week at least. And, finally, Allison and Alexis, they are both the same to me, interchangeable, nothing great, nothing awful, just ehh.

For once, I was blown away by Anoop's performance. There is something I really like about Adam but he seems very polished. I am not a fan of country music with the exception of a few songs.
