finale memories...
Since we're talking finale memories around here, and since Kristi summed hers up in two words in the comments, I decided to think back to the things I remember.
So as we're counting down the days until new memories are made, I'm gonna relive some of the past.

I don't know how you can remember the different seasons and who was even on them. Took me to see the video to figure out who was on Season 5. LOL! Guess I just wipe the slate clean after each season is over. This season started well, but fizzled too early.
My fav moment is and always will be Kelly Clarkson's tearful finale song. It was REAL and it wasn't rushed like they do now.
I'm with you Jennifer! That was great. I haven't seen it in awhile, but I've probable watch it 100 times. lol

Season 5...When I fell in love with Idol...and "my" Elliott. Did any of you see the Season 5 tour in person? Was it wonderful?
Excellent! Did you know Ace was just on an episode of Bones? He was the murder victim. LOL
Tami I saw the season 5 concert twice, once in DC in the last row way up high and a few nights later I saw the show in Richmond (front row). It was awesome!! I'm going this year as well, I really want to see David Cook live!!!

Now THAT'S how you go a group sing! It was great seeing that video again. I have most of the songs from that finale on my iTunes and I still listen to them all the time. That was the BEST. FINALE. EVER. To end the BEST.SEASON. EVER. They had great stars that sang WITH the kids and even the awards were good. Remember, Elliott's mom got one!
Last year was such a let down after that. This season's better than that but no where NEAR what 5 was. Every time Idol comes up with a new way to enjoy the show (downloading every song and all the videos) I get mad that they didn't do that for season 5!!! I so would have EVERY studio version by Elliott!
becky, yeah I saw Ace get whacked too :) But did you not notice Brandon was also there and got a couple chances to sing? :) nice little bit of cross promotion.
And i liked how everyone but Bones was so matter of fact about Idol, and Bones was so clueless!! That was great. About the only other TV character I can think of that would be that clueless about pop culture phenomena like Idol would be Gibbs from NCIS :) hahaha

Now THAT is how you do a group number.. everyone shared the stage with everyone else, each one got a chance to shine, even Kevin, they all seem like such nice guys and they left their egos at the door and just had fun.. that is what is missing from this season's group song and the whole season in fact .. I don't think they'll ever top season five.. they might as well just pack it in... lol..
