the long and winding road...

Is apparently a helluva lot longer than the list of Beatles songs that the kids were given the opportunity to choose from.

Twenty-five.

That's two-five. Songs. From the Beatles. From which to choose.

Twenty-five songs. Twelve kids.

This has all the makings of a trainwreck.

And the sad part? Most of the kids had never even heard of the songs.

So sayeth Deb Byrd.

It's like they're trying to manipulate the performances by controlling the song choice . . .

You can't tell me procuring the rights to a sing is an obstacle to having a large catalog for the kids to choose from each week. I can't imagine there's anyone who doesn't want their song being belted out on Idol.

This is just another way for Idol to jerk the singers around.

That bites. I truly feel for these kids. 25?! That's just wrong. The Beatles had more No. 1 hits than that!
