ultimate idol?...

Check out USA Today's results of "Ultimate Idol" where revisionist fans spoke out, combining the finalists from the first six seasons, turning in an all-star lineup.

The Ultimate Winner is no real surprise; neither is number two. But it speaks volumes that five non-winners fill out the next five spots before we even see another actual winner. And the record sales kind of reflect the same placement.

Hope everyone had a good summer.

Hi Jennifer & AI fans,

What I don't understand is why no mention of Jennifer Hudson? Jennifer has won numerous awards and there has not even been a comment made on the website of the "Ultimate Idol" article.

I am _really_ dumfounded! She is a great vocalist, as well as, actor.

AI is all about it's own self. Nothing else matters to Nigel and the gang. They could care less about ultimate idol or any other idol.
Jennifer Hudson's career moved away from pure recording artist into Broadway and film. That will keep her from being in the center of fans attention. I'm sure she'd rather have her Oscar than some place Kelly and Carrie in a fan poll.

Gah - Why did I not find out about this sooner! This is the kind of stuff I love.

I think this next album of Carrie's will boost her ahead of Kelly, whose recent album has not seemed to fare too well - not even 1 mil. copies sold yet!

Hope you had a good summer, too!

I watched the American Band Show last evening - (why the hell every one of these kinds of shows needs an English Judge is beyond me) - Anyway - I was not all that impressed with any of them - the religious bluegrass group was ok but probably not one I would enjoy every week and the naked little teenie boppers disgusted me. - Just my thoughts.

Well, I'm glad you're still semi-sentient. Your absence from your other blog has been disconcerting (but I guess you're making up for the concert thing here).
