congratulations taylor...

The American Idol.

I feel like I've been on a five-month bender, but I haven't left the building. And I hope you haven't either.

I'll be back soon. As soon as I nurse this Idol hangover.

Don't forget to check in on Taylor tonight with Jay Leno. And he, Kat and Elliott have busy weeks next week.

Me? I'll be back tomorrow.

You guys rock.

Taylor on Leno.

Studio version of Do I Make You Proud.

Great web site, Jennifer! I just discovered it a few weeks ago but it's been nice hanging out here for a bit. Especially since my man, Taylor, won. Is it just me, or have other people also noticed a resemblance between him and Clooney?

Until next season,
Ray

Taylor was just on Leno. Great entrance - sang Elvis tune. Even though he hasn't slept yet, Taylor looked fantastic. He is sooooo comfortable in front of a camera. And a down to earth guy, too. He's probably been asked a 1000 times how he felt just before Ryan made the announcement and also about how/why he decided to enter AM, but no matter, he answered as if it was the first time he had ever been asked the questions - with sincere answers that showed respect to the person asking.

Best part of the interview was his joke about Paula.

Just listening to the studio version of Do I Make You Proud and I hate to admit it but it's really good.. . I hated it the first time I heard it and now I love it. Although I am a Katharine fan I'm glad for Tylor and hope he doesn't have to sing songs he doesn't like just because he's tied into the Idol contract.

The other day on Extra or entertainment tonight, Kelly Clarkson was interviewed. They ask her why she wasn't going to appear on the Idol finale, and she said that she only had 5 days vacation left and wasn't going to give any of that up.

That really pisses me off. She would be nothing but a waitress singing in Karioke bars if it hadn't been for Idol. I am sure Idol would have sent a corporate jet to pick her up, fly in for the show, and fly right back. Not that much of a hardship.

I am sorry that she has gotten into the star thing and forgotten what got her there.

Taylor on Leno was great! The Paula joke was HILARIOUS!

As far as Kelly goes...who can blame her? I wouldn't give up my only vacation for anything!

yes to everything said above!

I just listened to the studio song also, and other than missing a Taylor staple 'yeah' or some such "soul patrol" hook, it sounds darn good. a lot better than on TV.

And Jen, please keep us up to date on things like who is on what TV show etc. This is the ONLY AI source I rely on, you are great. Your blog simply rocks and your comments (hence you) ROCK!!! Thanks for all the good stuff the past couple years (and thanks to Yahoo for linking you a couple years ago whick brought me here :) )

Thanks for the Leno link. I just watched it, and was really impressed with Taylor's ability to sing, remain poised, polite and even downright humorous.
Jenn, you have so many adoring fans now...do you feel the pressure yet? We need you!

I couldn't believe that Taylor was even coherent and so funny, considering he hadn't had any sleep. I guess he better get used to no sleep though.

Jennifer, I know what you mean by the Idol hangover. I always hate the end of May, because that means my favorite TV shows (especially Idol!) won't be back for a very, very long time. It's kind of depressing in a way.

I keep telling myself to hold on til the singles come out...and then the tour...and eventually the album. *sigh*

I'm going to miss this blog. I go to it every day to check for news and updates. I love reading it, and I hope you keep blogging about other stuff, too.

So what's this I hear about Steven Spielberg requesting a meeting with Katherine McPhee??!! According to an article I saw, she knew this BEFORE the finale, and said she thought, maybe winning AI wasn't the best thing for her...

Unfortunately for Kat, she's owned now, by 19E, so she can only do what they allow her to do. I think she's their property for two years. I've heard rumors of the Spielberg thing, but there were rumors about George Clooney too, until he put an end to them.

And if Kat wants to go into acting more than music, which to me sounds like she does, she is better off not winning. Much better off.

Kat was being asked by Spielberg to film a sequel to ET instead of phoning home, she would woodenly keep repeating , "phone daddy" before he cries her a river.

Quoting the first comment:
"it's been nice hanging out here for a bit."

BTW, dear Jennie, do you happen to have the mp3 of Bucky singing "Raindrops keep fallin' on my head"? I'm coveting it all these days. Please....for the sake of my sweet Bucky.
