simon says...

Ace is history, Taylor is stupid, Katharine is too perfect and Paris is gonna win.

Apparently Chris, Pickler and Elliott aren't worth discussing.

Thoughts?

I don't remember anyone thinking Mick Jagger was a bit stupid for prancing around the stage for over 40 years. I don't recall Joe Cocker being an outcast for antics suprisingly similar to Taylor. Several of this days "head bangers" are all over the stage. Give it a rest Simon. No one is worthy in your eyes, and everyone owes their life to you!!! "I don't think so Tim."

I love Simon, but I can see(read) right through his smack talk. He loves Kat and we all know it.

I just watched the video, and in all fairness, Jennifer, that wasn't exactly what the man said! He didn't really call Taylor stupid, he just dissed his movements. And for Katherine, he just said sounding perfect can work against you, which it can. And nobody is arguing with his thoughts on the numbered days of Ace, right?

Of course that's not exactly what he said. But it got your attention, didn't it? That's why it's called a tease. I never said I was fair. ;o)

And I don't think anybody is gonna argue about Ace, even though I think his tween voters will keep him in, at the expense of another better performer, at least one more week. ;o(

Personally, I think Simon's stumped. He was all about Chris, then Kellie, then Chris again, now Paris.

Either that or he's spreading the wealth, so to speak, creating more of a buzz than in the past years when he stuck with Ruben, then Fantasia, then Carrie. I don't think this man does anything by accident. And what better way to stir support for one of the kids than to have Simon diss him/her.

Lord knows something has to jumpstart this season, which is starting to rival season three in BLECH for me.

While at times I find myself agreeing with Simon I think he's wrong on this one. I do think Ace will be history.....Taylor is NOT stupid and people my age will remember Joe Cocker. I think he is the Joe Cocker of the younger generation with his unique voice and unusual dancing although compared to Joe Cocker, Taylor is eye candy. Of the men I think Elliott is the most talented but his looks and modesty may hold him back.

No way should Paris win, I think. She's good but not that good. I would love to see Taylor win, but then again, I'm 30+. Simon just likes to get our attention, and he has it! Thanks Jennifer for all you do.

Simon is a trip for sure. His opinions are just that, but we have to remember part of those comments are based on what type of singers he is used to working with in the UK, and he'd never look at someone like Bucky or Taylor over there.

I do agree on the Katherine comments, she has been looking more and more perfectly put together, and she has such a solid voice, that at some point, voters are gonna think "why vote for her, she doesn't need the help, she's already made it by being on the show". Chris may likely end up the same way, and is probably why Bo lost last year. I'm thinking there needs to be a fatal flaw, like Carrie having NO moves at all on stage, Fantasia with being a single mom, Clay with his wild hair and semi nerdy look and Rueben being, well, a BIG man. America loves underdogs, so the contestants probably need to build that in. Heck, maybe that is Pickler's golden ticket, she's got all the underdog cards all at once. Dad's in prison, no mom, raised by grandpa, she's from hicksville USA (along with a lot of the voters), she's got enough attractiveness and well, sex appeal, to get young guys to vote for her. could be an interesting finish to this season :)

the two points you really have to agree with Simon on though, are about Paula and Ryan. Those two don't have a career right now without this show, and this show is dead after season one without Simon. I mean, seriously, whom here would be watching if the judges were Randy, Paula, and just some other dribble person who tries to say something nice all the time? We watch, all of us, to find out what Simon says. We all love the tryouts because we want to know what that pompous British arrogance of his is going to say to people. As long as he keeps his on TV antics to this show, it'll be good for a while. And so far, he's been very smart about not putting himself on camera with his other ventures. Very smart. Ala Howard Stern. Control the exposure of yourself, so people don't tire of you :)

and is he starting to flirt with Paula again this season? haha

I truly wish Simon would be struck mute at around 8:01pm Tuesday night. He speaks from such a hateful place that it makes me ill.
