just wait till the competition starts!...

We're not even through the audition episodes yet and two brothers have been axed. Now allegations are surfacing that Jose "Sway" Penala, who received his golden ticket in San Francisco after a stirring rendition of "Superstar" may be ineligible.

Evidentially Penala's group, 6th Day, held a record deal at the time of the auditions,
FOX News is reporting, which is against the rules regarding current management contracts.

No word, as yet, from the show.

Who knows what we'll learn about whom once the field is narrowed to 24.

You know Jennifer, I wouldn't be surprised if this stuff was just as contrived as the rest of the auditions. Do they set up their scandals too?
These auditions have left a bad taste in my mouth. I hear Paula boasting on ET they are a family show. Yet, as I think about the remarks that are made to contestant about sexuality and body image it really makes me wonder. Are ratings so important to these bozos that they have forgotten that much of their demographics involve children? I think about Olivia, who is a little girl who enjoys singing. Are they teaching her that it's ok to make off color remarks to people who are different? Idol should keep to the spirit of the contest which is a SINGING competition and leave out the personal comentaries that fall off that mark!
Thanks for letting me rant!

I've had the same concerns about this "family" show. Why the need to scrape the bottom with all of the vulgarity? It's not like ratings will fall if there isn't a minimum amount of beeps.
