picking pickler...

If you watched Monday's The View, guest-starring the Pickler (who was very cute and very funny and handled herself admirably) you know she blurted the fact that her CD will be on the shelves just in time for your Christmas shopping.

But you also know that what comes out of Pickler's mouth sometimes needs verification.

We have that verification. Looks like 19E/Sony records (the Nashville branch) has, indeed,
Picked Pickler.

And if
this RCA publicist knows what he's talking about, it seems the old contractual requirement that no one release a full-length CD until at least three months after the release of the winner's CD has gone the way of Brian Dunkleman.

Congratulations go to Pickler who, it seems, has become far more popular off the show than on.

Elliott has an interview in the Washington Post. Says his album should be out at the first of next year. So I would wager we'll hear of a contract on or around Aug. 23 when the 90 days is up.

Here's the link:

Hi there!

Nice to know that you love American Idol as much as I do. Kellie is really lucky to have offered a stint by The View and an album. In fairness to her, she's really funny.

You might want to check out the recent poll called "THE BEST NATIONAL ANTHEM BY AN IDOL" on my bloggie, http://www.musebay.com :) It's a fun poll and really measures the talent of the Idols. You can can vote there :)

By the way, I linked you to my blog. Hope you could link me as well.

hi Jennifer. Hope you are enjoying the summer. Saw the NY leg of the tour with Olivia and her little sister, her mom and my 2 neices. We had a blast! I tried to get Olivia to write a review. LOL. NO meet and greet this time so she wasn't as willing. Auditions are underway and we are all counting the days. I can't IMAGINE how this season could come close to last. :crossing fingers: geez imagine if it did!!!!

Looking forward to your blog this new season! Be well. Maggie

Jennifer,

I was looking at your blog in reference to ticket prices. I snagged a pair of tickets to the September 16th show in Reading, PA. My husband is taking my son to the show for his birthday. How ironic that my son's birthday is THAT day! I got the tickets off of Ebay. I paid $237 for them. They sold out SO fast everywhere. I got them where I could. My husband and son will have to drive over an hour to get to Reading. But, from the reviews I've read- it should be well worth it. Jennifer......When do they do a meet & greet??
